Pinehurst School Announcements
The staff of Pinehurst Early Learning Center is committed to improving student achievement. We feel it is essential to communicate our expectations to our students and their families. Our goals are aligned with the District-wide plan for school improvement.
Every student will ...
1. Be a better reader.
Improve comprehension (understanding), accuracy, and fluency while expanding vocabulary.
2. Be a better writer.
Use the writing process to create work that exhibits the qualities of good writing, including: organized, well-developed ideas; personal style/voice; and use of conventions (such as spelling and punctuation).
3. Solve math problems
Understand fundamental mathematical concepts and use a variety of strategies to solve problems (instead of just remembering simple math "facts").
BE SAFE. BE RESPONSIBLE. BE KIND.

Breakfast will be served on delayed start Wednesdays. Morning programming is also available for students who report at regualr time (9:03am).

We are pleased to present you with the Annual Education Report (AER) which provides key information on the 2010-2011 educational progress for Pinehurst Elementary. The AER addresses the complex reporting information required by federal and state laws. The school’s report contains information about student assessment, Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) and teacher quality.
